Abstract

1418714 Hooks S FRICKER [trading as FRIMEDA METALL-UND DRAHTWARENFABRIK SIEGFRIED FRICKER] 18 April 1973 [16 Aug 1972] 18632/73 Heading E2A A lifting hook comprises a ring I, supported by a chain 7, and having a circumferential passage 10 for an arcuate rotary bolt 10 which can slide down under gravity to the position shown in which it engages in hole 18 in a staple projecting from a load into gap 13 in the ring. The bolt may be withdrawn manually or, as shown, by remote control cable, and it may be spring- loaded to its fastening position. Various forms of lifting staple are described.
