Abstract

1417393 Curtain walls R L STOAKES 13 Nov 1972 [13 Aug 1971[ 38225/71 Headings E1R and E1W A structural assembly for a curtain wall construction comprises a series of elongate members 2, 6 forming a frame and carrying flexible sealing means in which panels or panes can be mounded to provide a watertight facade. The sealing means accommodates relative movement provided for between at least some of the junctions between the elongate members by a connection element 66 insertable into and engageable with guide means provided by one of the members 2 so as to be slidable longitudinally thereof. Another of the members 6 having a registering portion 26 against which the connection element is located. Locking clamps 68 fix the element 66 to the member 6.
