Abstract

1416886 Support for dental models R C HUDSON and J RICHARDS 14 March 1973 [6 June 1972] 26244/72 Heading A5R A support structure, for use in orthodontics comprises opposed tray-like parts 11, 12, and a hinge engageable with at least one of the parts so that the parts can be moved linearly by relative sliding movement of said hinge. The hinge may take the form of a plate 13 having a transversely extending V-shaped channel, or may be provided by a hinge pin. The said hinge plate may co-operate with a guide formation on at least one of the parts, and may be embedded in the plaster 14 in the model in the lower tray 12. The upper tray-like part has mutually inclined front wall portions and the lower part has a front wall of curved configuration in plan, the rear walls of parts 11, 12 being flat and coplanar.
