Abstract
1416820 Radio-activity detector NIHON KIKI KOGYO CO Ltd and SUMITOMO SHOJI KAISHA Ltd 27 March 1973 14711/73 Heading G1A A radio-activity intergrator comprises a radioactivity detector 1, e.g. a Geiger-M³ller counter or an ionisation chamber, Fig. 2 (not shown), in a high voltage circuit 6, 7, an electrolytic cell 2 biased by current from detector 1, the cell comprising an electrolyte, a gold-coated electrode 3 having a predetermined amount of silver deposited thereon in a starting state, and a silver-coated electrode 4, and an alarm device 5 connected to a junction between detector 1 and cell 2, whereby in operation the voltage at the junction rises to energize the alarm when the predetermined amount of silver is transferred from electrode 3 to electrode 4. The amount of silver is deposited on the goldcoated electrode initially by applying current from electrode 4 to electrode 3.
