Abstract

The cell with an electrolyte in contact with anode and cathode is first charged to generate hydrogen, followed by a discharge via a load. The following continuations of uncharged cathode and electrolyte are suggested a) nickel (II) hydroxide aqueous potassium hydroxide; b) silver-aqueous potassium hydroxide; c) lead sulphate-sulphuric acid. A suitable anode is a grid with platinum or platinum-palladium bonded to it by polytetrafluorethylene or a plate of sintered nickel with dispersed platinum or platinum-palladium in the same bond.
