1416763 Firefighting GEBRUDER TROX GmbH 29 March 1973 [29 March 1972] 15087/ 73 Heading ASA [Also in Division F2] A safety valve designed for use in an airconditioning installation comprises a box with inlet 2 and outlet 3 and a hinged flap 5 adapted to close the outlet and held in the open position by a two-part fuse element 7, which two parts are held together by solder 8 which melts at an increased temperature (due to fire) to allow the flap to close the outlet. The part 7a of the element is attached to the box by a cable 11. The flap and seat 12 are made of fire restricting material and the element is insulated from the box by an asbestos plate 10.
