Abstract

1416063 Mining conveyers CROCKETT ENG Ltd 25 April 1974 [5 April 1973] 16307/73 Heading B8A A mineway conveyer comprising a belt and chain (not shown) supported in a troughing frame 18 includes spill plates 17. A pair of the plates are welded to supports 13 of a wheeled carriage 10 which is pivotally connected to adjacent carriages by beams 11 and a fabricated frame 12. Nylon bushes 22 are secured to the beams 11 and receive pins 23 of a connecting plate 24 detachably secured to the frame 12. Each spill plate 17 is arranged to be bolted to an adjacent spill plate (not shown) disposed between two adjacent carriages. In use, the conveyer is advanced along rails 15 by hydraulic rams. If breakage of the conveyer chain occurs, access is facilitated by removal of the bolted spill plates. More than one plate may be provided between the plates 17 of adjacent carriages, the length of the beams 11 being appropriately chosen.
