1415559 Coin distribution device LANDIS & GYR GmbH 19 Dec 1973 [24 Sept 1973] 58816/73 Headings G4X and G4V A coin distribution device arranged on the outlet side of a coin checking means receives a coin 1 which is valid, through a tube 2, the coin then passes between driven rollers 3 and 4, which give the coin a velocity sufficient for it to pass through passage 5 and switching points 7. The coin is guided through a passage 11 and guide track 20 in the switch, into a discharge passage 27 which is preselected by a logic switching circuit in the coin checking means. From the discharge passage the coin falls to a coin storage compartment. If the coin is valid but deformed it will jam in the region of the guide track 20 by slightly pressing the flap member 21 away from abutment 19. When the logic switching circuit cuts the voltage to the solenoid 18, the coin switch rotates about axis 10 back into its starting position and before the actuating arm 15 comes into contact with abutment 13 the pin 25 lifts the flap 21 freeing the jammed coin which falls into a discharge passage 26 situated below it and is directed to a money box. In the starting position the switch actuating arm 15 is held against abutment 13 by the solenoid return spring and coins can pass through a passage 8 in the switch and may then pass through a guide passage 9 into the next switching point or may pass through the switching points if they are all in the starting position and into a money box. In a modification the switch and solenoid may be arranged so that the switch moves perpendicularly to the direction of movement of the coins.
