1415441 Falling film evaporator B A TROSHENKIN G I SOLOVIEVA J N PISKUNOV V G PONOMARENKO and I M KOVAL 27 June 1973 30607/73 Heading B1B In a falling film evaporator, even distribution of liquid to all the tubes 2, Fig. 2, and turbulence in the film in the tubes is achieved by inserting spherical members 8 in the top of the tubes, which are raised and lowered by suction caused by the oscillation of a diaphragm (9, Fig. 1, not shown) to allow flow of liquid to the tubes. The extent of oscillation is controlled by adjustable screws 13 in limiting baffle 10.
