1415216 A dioxatricyclodecene derivative CIBA-GEIGY AG 12 Feb 1973 [10 Feb 1972 10 May 1972] 6814/73 Heading C2C Novel 9,10-dioxatricyclo[4,3,1,0<SP>3,8</SP>]dec-4-ene, and the racemate thereof are prepared by reacting compounds of the formula wherein Z 3 is hydroxy group esterified with a strong acid, with bases, or by the pyrolysis of compounds of the above formula in which Z 3 is a hydroxy group esterified with a dithiocarbonic acid, and, if desired or necessary resolving the resulting racemate.
