1414941 Rotary furnaces LA SOUDURE ELECTRIQUE AUTOGENE PROCEDES ARCOS SA 10 Jan 1974 [12 Jan 1973] 01242/74 Heading F4B A rotary tiltable plasma arc heated furnace comprises an external fixed structure defining a cooling chamber 7 and a rotatable melting chamber 3, a flexible resilient seal 1 being disposed between the relatively rotating surfaces at each end of the chamber 3. A sprinkler pipe 5 directs coolant on to the chamber 3 and has a branch 6 extending into a cooling space formed between the frusto-conical end of the chamber and a flange 2 which carries the seal in an outer recess.
