Abstract

1414738 Injection moulding machines DEMAG KUNSTSTOFFTECHNIK GmbH 5 Dec 1973 [23 Dec 1972] 56295/73 Heading B5A [Also in Division G3] A value for limiting the ramming pressure in a screw injection moulding machine comprises an inlet 24 connected to the ramming cylinder, and outlet 25 connected to exhaust and a piston valve 21 controlling communication between them. The piston is subject to inlet pressure on one side and to a pressure on the other side under the control of a spring loaded pilot relief valve 31, the loading being variable by means 36. In addition the piston is also subject on the inlet side to a biasing spring 26 of predetermined strength so that the pilot valve spring 37 is always working under pre-stress in a linear part of its characteristic even when the piston valve is required to open at low pressure levels.
