Abstract

1414448 Flash-lamp units PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 19 April 1974 [24 April 1973] 17298/74 Heading G2X A base 1 supports percussive flash-bulbs 2 and springs 7, 8 having striken arms 16; the springs being attached to a common pin 5 extending from the centre of the base 1. As shown, a damping ring 20 surrounds the pin 5 and springs 7, 8 and is vertically adjustable to alter spring tension. When tensioned, the striker arms 16 are held by locking members 18 and are lifted over the members 18 by a camera member (not shown) when bulb firing is required. Figs. 2, 4 (not shown) depict preferred shapes of spring.
