Abstract

1,125,771. Mountings for pit props. ELECTRO-HYDRAULICS Ltd. 13 June, 1966 [11 June, 1965], No. 24764/65. Heading E1E. A mounting for a prop 1 allowing vertical adjustment thereof comprises a base 3 and a member 9 secured thereto with the interposition of two relatively rotatable, complementary cams 5, 6 arranged as shown together, if desired, with washers 7, 8. The cams may be made of rubber or metal in which latter case they are used in association with a rubber backing ring, see Fig. 2 (not shown). For various other modifications involving a prop supported by a flanged tube, Figs. 3, 4 and 9 (not shown) should be referred to whilst Figs. 5, 6, 7 and 8 (not shown) detail further modifications involving annular cam members circumferentially disposed about the prop.
