Abstract

1414308 Liquid level measuring PLESSEY CO Ltd 2 Feb 1973 [24 March 1972] 14031/72 Heading G1N [Also in Division G3] In a liquid level controlling apparatus (see Division G3), the liquid level is measured using a hollow float having a ferrite slug mounted thereon, and a coil which is arranged in an oscillator whose frequency is determined by the position of the slug relative to the coil. The oscillator output is applied to a Schmitt trigger whose output is applied to a pump circuit which provides a D.C. voltage representative of liquid level.
