1411054 Vehicle seats K G NYSTROM 2 Feb 1973 [4 Feb 1972] 5338/73 Headings A4J and A4M A vehicle seat or backrest comprises a foamed cushion 3 mounted on a rigid metal plate 1, the cushion 3 having integrally formed, thickened longitudinal edges and the plate 1 having a central depression 2 and laterally extending portions along at least the longitudinal margins of the depression 3 so that in the unloaded state a free space is left between the cushion 3 and the bottom of the depression 2 and under the weight of the user the cushion contacts the bottom of the depression 2. A cover 4 extends over the upper and edge surfaces of the cushion.
