Abstract
1410571 Clothes airer; folding furniture frames LEIFHEIT INTERNATIONAL GUNTER LEIFHEIT GmbH 13 April 1973 [18 April 1972] 17843/73 Headings A4H and A4U A clothes airer comprises clothes lines 10 extending between legs 11 which are pivotally inter-connected at 12, for movement between their spread position shown and a folded position, by inter-engaging locking members 16 secured to the respective legs and having resilient heads 24 which when the legs are moved to their spread position bend laterally due to inter-engagement of their tapered faces 26 until they pass each other when they spring back to inter-engage their faces 25 for releasably retaining the legs in the spread position. Cross bars 13 have non-slip coverings. The locking members 16 are identical and are each formed integrally from plastics material. Hand grips 30 are provided for disengaging the heads 24. More than two crossed legs may be provided. The heads 24 may be incorporated into resilient peripheral regions of base members 21 of the locking members 16.
