1409877 Mats TUFDURA Ltd 6 Dec 1972 [8 Dec 1971] 56903/71 Heading A4S A mat comprises strips of sheet material each of which has spaced slots in each of its longitudinal edges, each slot extending substantially mid-way across the strip and staggered with respect to the slots in the other edge, the width of each slot being substantially the same as the thickness of the sheet material and the strips being arranged in two sets of parallel strips in a grid-like formation with the slots interfitted by engaging the strips of one of the sets alternately from one or other edge of the strips of the other set. The strips may be of composite sheet material, as disclosed in Specification 1322013, having layers of pre-stressed woven, mesh-like material bonded between layers of elastomeric material.
