Abstract

1409827 Antiskid braking systems TELDIX GmbH 8 Nov 1973 [9 Nov 1972] 51918/73 Heading F2F An antilock control system for vehicle brakes comprises separate sensors 4, 5 for each front wheel. A common sensor 6 for the rear wheels the sensors delivering outputs dependent on rotary wheel speed, an evaluation channel 12 for evaluating the sensor outputs, a switchover device for switching the sensor outputs in turn to the channel 12 and means for sensing the start of a braking operation, such as a brake light switch 23, and acting on the switch over device to switch a front wheel sensor to the channel 12 on the start of a braking operation. The sensors are connected by means of AND gates 7, 8, 9 and an OR gate 10 to a transmission element 11 and the channel 12, the output of the latter being connected by gates 13, 14, 15 to valve arrangements V 1 , V 2 , V 3 controlling brake pressure. The valves may be two-way valves or inlet and outlet valves, in the latter case the channel 12 having two output lines. Gates 7, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15 are connected to the three outputs of a counter comprising two bi-stable trigger circuits 16, 17 and an AND-gate 18, the counter being also connected by means of an AND-gate 20 to an impulse generator 19. In the starting position of the counter pulses cause signals to appear in turn at the outputs of AND-gate 18 and bistables 16, 17, a resetting of the counter into starting position by way of AND gates 21. Timing elements 22 extend the output signal of AND-gates 21 and effect a holding of circuits 16, 17 in the output position until after the disappearance of the generator pulse and the output signal of circuit 17. The closing of the brake light switch 23 permits changeover of a multivibrator 24 which sets circuits 16, 17 into the starting position.
