Abstract

1409244 Drying garments WESTERN LAUNDRY MACHINE CO Ltd 6 Sept 1972 [9 Sept 1971] 42226/71 Heading F4G [Also in Division D1] In a garment finishing machine of the kind in which finishing operations on a garment supported by a buck 2 are carried out sequentially at a number of stations A, B, C, D, the operation which takes the longest time is carried out in two stages at adjacent stations. As shown a garment is loaded manually onto a buck, which has a slot for containing a hanger at the top, at station A, is steamed for 5 seconds and hot air dried for 5 seconds at station B, is dried for a further 10 seconds at station C and is unloaded on a hanger and a fresh hanger placed in the buck at station D. The automatic hanger loading and unloading apparatus are described in Specification 1380731. The arrangement provides a 15 second drying time in a 10 second cycle.
