Abstract

1409018 Mine roof supports GEWERK SCHAFT EISENHUTTE WESTFALIA 29 Jan 1973 [31 Jan 1972] 4405/73 Heading EIP A mine roof support frame is provided with a roof girder 1, 2, 3, 4 of hollow box construction which is divided internally by webs 9 to form a compartment having a light source 6 accommodated therein. The light source may comprise a fluorescent tube and a starter unit and is adapted to be releasably mounted in the roof girder and pivoted downwardly therefrom through an aperture 22 for servicing purposes. A reflector 24, guard strips 23 and a translucent glass cover for the light source are also provided.
