Abstract

1408299 Grouting post tensioned tendons MSCHUPACK 31 Aug 1972 [7 Sept 1971 7 Aug 1972] 40487/72 Heading C1H Post-tensioned tendons for prestressed material (e.g. concrete) are grouted by injecting into the duct in the material containing the tendon a pourable grout composition comprising a mixture of hydraulic cement, water, aluminium powder, a gelling agent and a dispersing agent, the agents being in an amount from 0À1 to 0À75% based on the weight of cement, whereby as substantial water loss occurs by filtration at less than 10 p.s.i.g., and less than 10% water loss occurs at 80 p.s.i.g. The gelling agent may be a chemically substituted cellulose and the dispersing agent a sulphonate (e.g. naphthalene or polymerized naphthalene sulphonate or lignin sulphonate). Accelerators, lubricants, and inert fillers may also be present.
