1408231 Endless conveyers KOMBINAT MEDIZIN - UND - LABORTECHNIK VEB 1 Jan 1973 78/73 Heading B8A [Also in Division B1] In a method of transporting liquids in containers, which are arranged in a row on belt or chain conveyers of automatic analysis apparatus the containers, after the end of the operations of a filling means, a stirring means, a measuring means, and a cleaning means are lowered from an upper position to a lower position and thereafter they are moved horizontally by a path corresponding to the spacing of neighbouring containers and subsequently are lifted to the upper position. As shown, a device for carrying out the method comprises a frame 18 for a belt or chain conveyer; at least two adjusting levers 23, 24 which are pivotally mounted on the frame and are supported in pivots 25, 26 of a support 42 and form, together with the frame, a first parallel crank drive; a second parallel crank drive mounted on the pivots 25, 26 of the support and comprising two transmission members 27, 28 and a transmission coupling 29, which second parallel crank drive is displaced with respect to the first parallel crank drive and is rigidly connected to the latter; a first rocker arm 22 driven by drive shaft 19 through a crank 20 and a coupling 21, supported on one of the two pivots of the support and rigidly connected to the adjusting lever 23 arranged on this pivot 25; and a second rocker arm 36 moved by the drive shaft 19 through a crank 32 and a coupling 35 arranged on a pivot of the frame 18 and connected pivotably with a pawl 38 which forms, with a trip cam wheel 39 positioned on the axle 16 of the drive wheel 14 of the belt or chain conveyer, a stepping mechanism; the crank 20 driving the first rocker arm being arranged on the drive axle 19 at an angle in front of the crank driving the second rocker arm. The device is driven by an electric motor controlled by contacts operated by a cam on the shaft 19 and a timing device.
