Abstract

1407964 Cups D R G PACKAGING Ltd 17 Aug 1972 [31 Aug 1971] 40586/71 Heading A4A [Also in Division B5] A thermally insulated container e.g. a drinking cup, ice cream carton, plate or tray is produced by .thermoforming a laminate comprising two layers of polystyrene sandwiching a middle layer of foamed polystyrene, the laminate having been produced by coating a first layer of polystyrene with a foamable polystyrene composition, and placing a second sheet of unfoamed polystyrene on the foamable coating. In an example, a disposable vending cup is produced with stacking rings.
