Abstract

1406251 Feeding sheet DERITEND ENG CO Ltd 29 Jan 1973 [10 Feb 1972 (2)] 6219/72 and 6220/72 Heading B8R A device for aligning sheets fed from a stack 12 consists of a support 38, rotatable about an axis 40, which carries two conveyer belts 42, 44. The conveyer belts are urged towards each other by springs 46 but are initially held apart by cams so that a stack of sheets is formed against the left-hand stop 48. After the feed has been stopped, the support is turned anticlockwise through 90 degrees to align the stack; the support is then turned clockwise through 90 degrees or 270 degrees and cams are rotated to allow the belts 42, 44 to press against the aligned stack sides and feed it towards the table 16. Side joggers 52, 52 may be provided.
