1405685 Nonionic surfactant compositions MONSANTO CO 3 Dec 1973 [4 Dec 1972] 55907/73 Heading C5D Nonionic surfactant compositions comprise a mixture of (1) from 1 % to 10% by weight of one or more alkyl phenol ethoxylates of the formula wherein x is 4 to 18, R is C 6 to C 14 alkyl, and (2) from 90% to 99% by weight of one or more vicinal diol ethoxylates of formula wherein m and n are 0 or 1 to 12, n + m = 8 to 12, a and b are each 0 or 1 to 18, and a + b = 12 to 18. The compositions are characterized by high flash points (e.g. 288‹ C.), which exceed those of the vicinal diol ethoxylates alone.
