Abstract

1405441 Road stud J A McROBBIE and A F McROBBIE 7 May 1973 [10 May 1972] 21694/72 Heading EIG A road stud has distinct long and short range deflectors, the former having a longer axial length than the latter and the latter having a larger diameter than the former, the terms "long and short range" being defined in, terms of British Standard 873. The reflectors are fixed in an annular support j mounted on a resilient member d arranged so as to be depressible into a hollow casing a by passing vehicles. The annular support j either passes over a resilient tongue e dependent from member d or passes over a stem t of a nylon or metal mushroom shaped member inserted through a slot in the member d and is secured thereon by a washer u and split-pin k. Waterretaining pads g wash the reflectors on depression of member d. The member d is H- sectioned in plan, has slots M in its sides engaging projections b on the casing, and has ring shaped resilient legs (f), Fig. IV (not shown) engaging the floor of the casing.
