Abstract

1405095 Scraper conveyer troughs DOWTY MECO Ltd 5 Dot 1972 [30 Sept 1971] 45767/71 Heading B8A A pan, adapted to form, with a plurality of similar pans, a scraper conveyer trough, comprises a pair of sigma-section members 1, 2, and a deck 9 supported by the central flanges 4, 7 of the members 1, 2, an inspection opening 12 extending across the entire width of the deck 9 and being closed by a cover 13 nesting on the central flanges 4, 7, the cover being held in position by pins 18 passing through the members 1, 2 and engaging in recesses 21 in the cover 13. The recesses 21 house U-shaped members 22 engaging the pins 18, which may be projections on screws 24 threaded into the members 1, 2, or may be tapered and wedged into the members 1, 2, or may be formed with heads which engage with the screws, or may be secured in central bores in the screws 24. A lower deck 11 is also carried by the members 1, 2.
