Abstract

1405022 Taking up slack in flexible elements SCHLOEMANN AG 26 Jan 1973 [28 Jan 1972] 4230/73 Heading B8B Flexible electrical and/or hydraulic feeders for supplying power from a fixed terminal 17 to a carriage 2 movable along a track 1, in a metal casting process, comprises a metal band 8 to which the feeders are secured, the band passing from the carriage, over an elevated pulley 12 at one end of the track, and down to form a loop supporting a tensioning weight 18 before passing to the terminal 17. The weight 18 is secured to a pulley block 14 vertically movable in guides 13. The band 8 may also be supported by a roller 19 intermediate the track ends. The feeders are secured to the band 8 by straps secured to elastic spacer members on the band.
