Abstract
1404744 Measuring input impedance of coaxial cable STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd 14 Feb 1974 6755/74 Heading G1U An adjustable impedance unit comprises a coaxial socket, 1, Fig. 1, a short length of coaxial cable 5, two resistors R1, R2, and a potentiometer RV1 with an adjusting knob 8, all mounted inside a metal screen 10 and connected as shown in Fig. 2. In use the unit simulates a coaxial cable having an adjustable impedance and forms part of a bridge Fig. 3, across which a swept r.f. is applied, for measuring the impendance of a coaxial cable under test.
