Abstract

1403824 Endless conveyers MATHEWS CONVEYER CO Ltd 11 Oct 1973 [22 Nov 1972] 47489/73 Heading B8A Pallets 11 of an endless conveyer are driven by blocks 44 mounted between chains 37, each block during the upper run of the chains engaging a block 25 of an eye and clevis coupling 24, the block 25 is welded to a plate 21 secured to the underside of an associated pallet 11. The other parts of the coupling comprise a post 29 and a rod 22 welded to the plate 21 of the adjacent pallet 11. Each pallet is supported on rollers 12 and is guided by rails 16, 47 which engage a roller 15 also mounted on the post 29. The chains 37 are motor driven through reduction gearing and are supported on plates 46. Side guards (14, Fig. 8, not shown) and the posts 29 may be removed for maintenance of the drive system.
