Abstract

1403583 Signs JAMESIGNS (LEEDS) Ltd 4 July 1973 [25 April 1972] 19111/72 Heading G5C [Also in Division B5] A reflective sign, such as a vehicle number plate, is formed as a laminate comprising a transparent sheet 10 whose rear face is marked with dank indicia to be viewed from the front, the rear face being secured by transparent adhesive to a reflective backing sheet. The laminate may be strengthened by a further backing sheet of aluminium. The indicia are formed by cutting away a protective covering on sheet 10, spraying the cut-out portions, and then removing the covering. To form the laminate, the sheets with adhesive are passed between spring-loaded rollers.
