Abstract

1403381 Passenger berths P LEGRAND 13 July 1972 32787/72 Headings B7B B7L B7S and B7W High density passenger accommodation is provided in vehicles such as buses, trains, aircraft and ships by berths 1 and 2, Fig. 1, arranged head-to-foot, but separated by a partition wall 3. The berths 11, 12, 13 and 14 may be provided four high, Fig. 2, in alternate arrangement. The lower surface of each berth is provided by a transversely curved thin member having a lowermost median portion and end portions raised with respect to the median portion. At least two parallel longitudinal series of structures forming the berths are joined by framework forming part of an aircraft fuselage.
