Abstract

1403020 Copying by scanning DR ING RUDOLF HELL GmbH 10 Aug 1972 [12 Aug 1971] 37423/72 Heading H4F Each recording stylus 41, 42, 43 in a facsimile recorder is adjustably mounted on an endless belt 5 so as to be movable longitudinally of the belt to ensure that the styli are correctly spaced so that successive lines recorded on recording medium 2 are aligned. The adjustment is provided by rotation of an eccentric pin 48, Fig. 3, mounted on a holder (49, Fig. 4, not shown) attached to the belt 5, stylus 41 being carried by a support 44, a spring 46 ensuring that the edge of a hole 47 in support 44 abuts pin 48. An adjusting device (Figs. 6-8, not shown) is provided adjacent pulley 6 for use when adjusting the position of the styli. During adjustment pulley 6 is in a predetermined angular position and the position of the stylus is adjusted until it makes or breaks a circuit including two contacts (53, 54) on the adjusting device and an indicator. During the recording each stylus rests on a guide rail 18 and a conductive guide rail 19. A guide strip (56, Fig. 9, not shown) raises each stylus at the beginning of a line to provide a clear margin.
