Turning-gear.-In order to prevent unauthorized use of a motor-car, the starting-handle is made in two L-shaped parts, the part a having the usual clutch and having a radial arm c engaged by a readily detachable tubular part d carrying the handle c. Interengaging feathers c' and grooves d<1>, irregularly spaced, are provided on the parts c, d, or the part c may be an irregular polygon in section and the tubular part d correspondingly shaped to fit. The parts may be secured together by a spring catch d<2>, which can be readily withdrawn by means of a knob d<3>.
