1402949 Polymerizing vinyl acetate WACKER-CHEMIE GmbH 12 June 1973 [16 June 1972] 27831/73 Heading C3P Vinyl acetate is polymerized in bulk or copolymerized with a vinyl ester of a C 3 -C 18 saturated monocarboxylic acid and/or with crotonic acid in bulk at 40-140‹ C. in the presence as initiator of a mixture of a peroxide soluble in vinyl acetate and 2,2-bis-(tert.butyl peroxy) butane. The products have low residual monomer content.
