Abstract
1401374 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems PUTZMEISTER-INTERHOLDING GmbH 12 Feb 1973 [22 Feb 1972] 6861/73 Heading G3P [Also in Division F2] A hydraulic transmission system comprising a swash-plate pump 1 connected to a motor through high and low pressure oil lines 2, 3 includes a pilot valve 10 controlling a swash-plate adjusting servomotor 8, and a piston and cylinder device 13 in the positioning linkage of valve 10, device 13 being connected to low pressure oil line 3 via non-return valve 16. Thus a sudden drop in pressure in line 3 as a result of increased load on the motor causes valve 16 to open and oil to flow under the action of spring 17 from device 13 into line 3 to prevent cavitation in pump 1. Oil also flows to line 3 from servomotor 8 via valve 18. Simultaneously output of pump 1 is reduced by the resulting adjustment of the swash-plate. In the arrangement shown the position of the piston within device 13 is controlled by oil pressure from an auxiliary pump 14 driven at the same speed as pump 1 and which is also connected to line 3 via valve 16, a regulation throttle 15 being provided. Device 13 may include a manual adjusting lever. A boost pump 5 is connected to lines 2, 3 via non-return valves 7 and also supplies control oil to servomotor 8. The latter includes a feedback link 20.
