1400728 Flame resistant polymer compositions CITIES SERVICE CO 22 Sept 1972 [24 Sept 1971 1 Oct 1971 19 Nov 1971 26 Nov 1971] 43972/72 Heading C3P [Also in Division C2] A flame-resistant polymer composition comprises polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS or polystyrene, stabilizer, synergist (preferably a phosphite) and a flame-retardant compound of general formulae wherein Q is -CH 2 - or -O-; X is Br or Cl; X<SP>1</SP> is H, Br or Cl; R and R<SP>1</SP> are H or alkyl; R<SP>11</SP> is a sulphur group or hydrocarbon group, Z is H or a hydrocarbon group and n is 0 or 1.
