1400570 Prodegradant compositions IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 12 Nov 1973 [23Nov 1972] 45197/72 Heading C3P A composition comprises a vinyl chloride polymer and as prodegradant a metal chelate of Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni or Cu and a dione which has two carbonyl groups attached to the same carbon atom to which is also attached at least one hydrogen atom. The prodegradant exemplified is iron acetylacetonate and this is compounded with polyvinyl chloride;, dibutyl tin dinonylthioglycolate and stearic acid. Sheets cast from this composition are degraded by ultra-violet light.
