Abstract
1399181 Electrically heated water drainage outlet KLAUS ESSER KG 18 April 1973 [19 May 1972 27 Feb 1973] 18700/73 Heading F4A In a electrically heated water drainage outlet for draining water from a surface to prevent freezing thereof, an electric heating means 2 and heat monitoring means 3 are arranged in a collecting or intake member 1, the monitoring means 3 being such that the supply of heating current is interrupted when overheating of the drainage outlet occurs but being incapable of automatically restoring the electrical supply after removal of the overheating. An electrical supply lead 5 connects a housing 6 having a safety micro-fuse 8, indicator lamps 9, 10 and an interruptor switch 12. A connection 11 is connected to an outside thermostat (not shown) which cuts the heating means 2 in or out dependent upon the ambient temperature. In an alternative embodiment (Fig. 2, not shown) the heat monitoring means 3 provided in the intake member 1 is in the form of a switch element. The intake member 1 is also provided with a safety micro-fuse (4).
