Abstract

1398950 Drying webs MASCHINENFABRIK ANDRITZ AG 15 Nov 1973 [17 Nov 1972] 53087/73 Heading F4G [Also in Division B1] A liquid extraction machine has upper and lower movable, guided screens 8, 7 between which a web 13 of material to be dried is, in use, disposed, and a storage container 9 having a funnel 11, the outlet of the funnel 11 being provided with a sealing element 14. The other end of the sealing element sealingly engages the screens 7, 8 at the vicinity of their engagement with guiding rollers 3, 6 The outer end of the sealing element may be provided with an elastomeric or plastomeric insert for contact with the screens (Fig. 2, not shown).
