1398330 Studio acoustics BRITISH BROADCASTING CORP 15 June 1973 [31 July 1972] 35739/72 Heading G5X Acoustic reverberation time of a hall is modified by varying the occlusion of perforations in the inward facing layer of a sound absorbent wall covering. Occlusion may be by lateral movement of a panel similar to the said layer having an identical pattern of perforations to those on the underlying layer. Movement may be manual or motor driven. Alternative systems may use non-identical patterns of perforations in the two layers. If absorbent panels are not perforated, variation of absorbence may be obtained by roller or venetian blind construction of overlying reflective material.
