Abstract

1398328 Clamps ROUSSEL UCLAF 24 July 1972 [29 July 1971] 34521/72 Heading E2B In a combination of a clamping device and a rod 2 of octagonal cross-section, the body 1 of the clamping device has a slot 4 of rectangular cross-section formed therein and adapted to receive the rod, and tightening means, i.e. a screw 3, for retaining the rod in the slot, the width of the slot is substantially equal to the width of the rod so as to effectively prevent relative rotation between the rod and the clamping device. As shown, the body 1 has a pair of slots 4 extending in mutually perpendicular directions and disposed at 45‹ to the axis of the body.
