Abstract
1396657 Halogenated 3a,4,7,7a-tetrahydro- 4,7-methanoindene VELSICOL CHEMICAL CORP 22 Feb 1973 [23 Feb 1972] 8679/73 Heading C2C [Also in Division C3] Halogenated compounds of formula where X is H or Br are prepared by brominating 4,5,6,7,8,8 - hexachloro - 3a,4,7,7a - tetrahydro- 4,7-methanoindene, and where X is Cl by brominating 3,4,5,6,7,8,8-heptachloro-3a,4,7,7atetrahydro-4,7-methanoindene. The compounds may be used as fire retardants for combustible polymers.
