1396549 Coated printing materials CONTINENTAL GUMMI-WERKE AG 13 Nov 1972 [29 Nov 1971] 52262/72 Heading B2E [Also in Divisions B6 and C3] A printers blanket comprises a support layer 1, a compressible intermediate layer 2 and an ink transferring layer 3 formed from a polymer base which incorporates a transparent or light-coloured hydroxyl containing silicate filler material, e.g. an hydroxyl containing magnesium silicate, and a higher molecular weight surfactant (as defined) e.g. a polyglycol of molecular weight between 5000 and 20,000. The layer may also contain low molecular weight surfactants e.g. sulphonated paraffin.
