1396254 Latches INDUSTRIE A ZANUSSI SpA 26 July 1973 [29 July 1972] 35707/73 Heading E2A The latch bolt 7 of a washing machine door 3 is interlocked with the operation control spindle 13 which is also on the door, by means of a cam 12 which prevents rotation of the spindle in the unlatched position. In this position, a projection 17 which operates electric control 22, 23 fouls the bolt-tail 11, Fig 3, and prevents release of the bolt from position 19 by abutment against rim 24, Fig 4. The latch bolt has an over-centre control spring 8, and it engages a keeper 4.
