1395697 Circuit for improving galvanometer response G S B STREET 2 June 1972 [9 June 1971] 19574/71 Heading G1Q The speed of response of a suspended coil mirror galvanometer is increased by supplying the galvanometer input signal V 1 via a differential amplifier 14 and feeding back to an amplifier input 16 a signal V 2 which includes components representing both the displacement and velocity of the meter coil, the feedback signal V 2 being derived not from the meter itself but from an L-C-R circuit 11-13 which electrically simulates the movement of the meter coil. A power-limiting device 19 protects the meter.
