1395590 Prolactin-inducing materials ABBOTT-LABORATORIES 31 Oct 1972 [1 Nov 1971 19 Sept 1972] 50198/72 Heading A5B The prolactin level in the plasma of female meat-producing mammals is increased by the oral or parenteral administration of the Thyrotropin releasing hormone "TRH" (L- pyroglutamyl-L-histidyl-L-proline amide). It may be administered to milk-producing and meat-producing animals, e.g. parenterally or mixed with their feed, the dosage being 0.001 to 5mg intravenously, 0.1 to 5 mg intramuscularly or 1 to 25 mg orally.
