Abstract

1395579 Glazing CRITTALL-HOPE LTD 15 May 1973 [15 May 1972] 22720/72 Heading E1R A glass pane 4 is secured in a frame having a rib 8 by loosely screwing spaced blocks 12 to the frame, inserting a deformable wedge 16 into a wedge shaped recess between each block and the pane, tightening the screws 6 so as to turn the block and so as to bring a flange 20 on the block into engagement with the wedge and so deform the wedge as to clamp the pane against a resilient sealing strip 24 on the rib 8, and clipping a cover 22 over the blocks 12. The mating faces of the wedge and block are serated. The strip 24 may be of p.v.c. foam having a contact adhesive on both sides.
