Abstract

1395415 Detergent composition BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK AG 21 July 1972 [23 July 1971] 34186/72 Heading C5D [Also in Division D1] A detergent composition useful in the alkaline pretreatment and/or bleaching of cellulosic textiles comprises A 70-80% based on the weight of detergent of compounds of formula R 1 (OCH 2 CH 2 ) m OSO 3 M wherein R 1 is C 10-16 alkyl, m is 1-4 and M is alkali metal, ammonium or substituted ammonium and B 30-20% of compounds of formula R 2 R 3 (SO 3 M) m wherein R 2 is C 8-12 alkyl, R 3 is arylene, M is as above and n is 1 or 2. Ingredients specified include (A) sodium fatty alcohol ether sulphate and (B) diethanolammonium dodecylbenzene sulphonate. The composition may also include a solubilizer comprising isopropanol, ethylene glycol, ethylene glycol monoethyl ether or dipropylene glycol.
